MINION MIST is a mist-type lotion built around certified organic chamomile flower extract grown in Hokkaido. It gives the skin moisture and helps refine the look of skin texture.

The texture is light and watery rather than thick, so it works for facial skincare and just as well on the body, the hair, or over makeup for a refresh.

About the bottle

The bottle is a patented trigger sprayer that produces a very fine mist without using pressurised gas.

• One push sprays continuously for about three to five seconds
• No cap to open and close — it can be used one-handed
• One 350ml bottle gives about 280 uses
• Refillable, so the bottle can be used again and again

How to use

1. Pull out the white stopper and push five to ten times at first, to draw the lotion up through the straw
2. After cleansing, hold it a little away from the skin and spray generously
3. Press it in gently with your palms
4. If your skin feels dry, layer two or three applications
5. Finish with a cream such as MINION5

When to replace the bottle

After about a year of use the spray can weaken. We suggest replacing the whole bottle every six to twelve months.

About sediment in the bottle

The colour of the chamomile may settle faintly at the bottom of the bottle. Because this lotion contains no surfactant to hold the ingredients together, natural ingredients can settle; simply shake it lightly before use.

Over a long period the bottle may become tinted. This is the same thing that happens to a cup used for tea, and neither the contents nor the bottle are affected. It washes off like a cup, or with baking soda.

How it came about

MINION MIST went on sale in December 2016, from the wish to make a lotion the whole family could use, at a price within reach.

Noticing that the main ingredient of any lotion is water, we built the formula around the water itself. We then met organic chamomile from Hokkaido and fell for its scent and feel. We also fell for a bottle that is convenient and well made, with no cap to open and close, and the product took shape from there.

We chose a generous 350ml so that a family could share it and so that it could be used on the body as well — roughly two to three times a typical lotion, to be used without holding back.
